Khalid McRae started Legacy Construction, Inc. in 2005. Prior to running Legacy Construction, Mr. McRae spent over 15 years in Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS), Asset and Program Management. Through this experience he gained a unique understanding of construction means and methods and brings an exceptional knowledge base for community planning and development.

• Managed construction of over $21 million in projects ranging from educational, military, federal and aviation space

• Managed a CMBS pool of assets, which had exceeded $4 billion in aggregate

• Maintained special servicing surveillance of multiple securitized pools with loan balances in excess of $100M

• Interfaced with and supported Credit Risk Management relating to internal audit and OCC review

• Originated/performed extensive due diligence on various multifamily, retail, hotel, office, industrial and health care transactions

• Analyzed, underwrote and closed in excess of $150 million in LIHTC transactions, including multiple new construction projects, existing refinance projects and multiple repositioning underwriting scenarios for underperforming performing projects (CGMS INCORPORATED)
